My passport says it expires August 14, 2010. That means it expires next year on August 14th, right? No. Apparently it means it expires February 14, 2010. This is the most retarded thing I have ever heard in my life. Oh, but apparently this rule is only good for some countries. One of which I am traveling to. Israel, you are retarded.

So, we moved to Baltimore about a year ago and got a new phone number and right away started receiving wrong numbers.  In particular, robocalls from a debt collector.  I'm sure I don't need to tell you how annoying they are.  They didn't stop.  So, since we didn't tell anyone our new number and every call would we a wrong number, eventually we decided to turn off the ringer.  A few days ago, I left my cell phone in the car, so I turned the land line back on.  Wouldn't you know it, more robocalls.  So today, I decided, what the fuck, I would listen to the message and call back and tell them they have the wrong number.

So I do, and speak to a rude fucking asshole.  I tell him they've been calling the wrong number for a year.  And he gives me fucking attitude about how was he supposed to know it was the wrong number if I never called back.  WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK!  You're a fucking debt collector!  Keep records!  And gee, if someone hasn't responded in a year to your robocalls, maybe you should use a person to call.  So I ask if he can't say thank you for doing our job or maybe sorry for the inconvenience, he said he didn't do anything wrong.  So I ask to speak to a supervisor, who is equally fucking rude and insistent that it was my responsibility to listen to the robocall and call back and that they did nothing wrong.

Then I remember, I'm unemployed.  I have all day to call and harass these people.  So I call back.  And finally speak to a polite man who said he was sorry for the inconvenience and that my number has been removed.

So maybe this story ended well.  But then I googled the company name and I read "According to the Department of Banking and Insurance's annual reports, there have been numerous complaints filed again Palisades Collection and its fraudulent business activities."  I hope I didn't just sign myself up for some scammy harassment.

Hello! Welcome to my last Tuesday Art Post before the new year (and new decade, I'm told). I've got maybe one or two more posts in me for the year, but this will be the last art post though. Why am I even at work today? BLEH.

Christmas was good. Received one of the worst gifts ever - a package of coffee but also received one of the BEST gifts ever, a laser-pointer toy for the cats. I already need new batteries for it because I was making my cats chase it all weekend. hrmm, I really need to get video of them doing that, too.

Anyways, a few months ago, bossymarmalade pimped the 100 Days of Colour festival being hosted at choc_fic. I signed up for two days, and then almost completely forgot about it until today! In mourning, with porn: It has happened. The moment I have been dreading with bated breath.

My dear, decrepit, faithful old Wacom Graphire 2 4x5 tablet, that has served me well since 2004, and that has assisted me in the creation of (srsly) hundreds of drawings...

...has finally kicked the bucket. :(

BUT! I want to draw *porn* and I still have a *week* of Christmas holiday left and drawing porn on paper is too *risky* and.... damnation. (my priorities, let me show you them)

My one consolation is that I did manage to complete a piece of Star Trek porn just before said tablet died - my part of a fic/art collab with mijan, which is like INSANELY kinky and I got MEGA personally-relevant heeby jeebies when I started drawing (the reasons for which will become apparent once you see the collab....)

But I ended up having a *blast* working on it. :D Plus the fic kind of made my head explode. Srsly. No, srsly. And usually I lean towards the romantic side of fandom. Funny how fanworks can still teach you something new about yourself.... >.> So uh. Stay tuned for that! It's gonna be awesome.

In other news: I have henna patterns all over my arms upto my elbows, courtesy of a family friend's daughter who wanted to test out her skills. I will take a photo once the henna has darkened after a couple of days.

*sniffs* I love the smell of henna. :D
