ZOMGBOWIE!!

coldbeverage (who is super fun) and I went to the Nokia Gnarls Barkley thing tonight, and it was MOTHERFUCKING AWESOME. DAVID MOTHERFUCKING BOWIE introduced the band!!

Needless to say, we shat our pants.

First off, here's the least flattering picture of Bowie in history:

No other pics will be available until either petridish.net gets up and running again or I cave and start re-uploading all my shit to flickr :\

Next: Gnarls Barkley performing my favorite song of theirs, Transformer:

The video is all sorts of unclear (though I actually do like the ray of light thing it's got going on at some points), but I'm impressed by the audio. Yay accoustic!

Lastly: Gnarls Barkley doing Smiley Faces.

The video is a lot clearer, but the sound sucks.

Bowie??? first it was free and then you got Bowie, too?? :P no fair. right up the crotch shot. excellent angle :D

I love the Transformation vid. The darkness with the psychadelic flashing of lights is just too kewl. Cee-Lo's voice so purdy when he sings/wails in this one.

i love the Smiley Faces bit. it's so strange not seeing the two guys in the string section though. such a good view you got, all around. ♥ ♥ ♥

LOLOLOL I guess in some respects, the picture was flattering after all ;)

And yes! I'm trying to figure out when they got rid of the guys. I know when they played in Austin the string section was all women, but I'm not sure about Summerstage. I think I remember Cee-Lo introducing them as The G-Strings, but I was so far back I couldn't see them :\
